(or, Please Direct Me to the Central Advice Bureau in Bahrain)
Early this year I accepted an invitation to attend an international conference and participate in a panel discussion on the future of the Middle East. I planned, and I guess I am expected, to take up issues related to Bahrain and the rest of the Gulf. I have already prepared my opening remarks which will focus on the obstructive role played by the ruling families in the Gulf monarchies to economic and political reforms in the region.
I am booked to leave on the 12th, but I started having my doubts.
Following the fuss about the most recent London event I started wondering whether it is more prudent to ask for a permission from whomever it may concern.
Does anyone reading this know of any person of authority or a government agency that can advice me on whether it ís totally unpatriotic to take the plane to London on the 12th?
