According to local Gulf Daily News Bahrain's Fahad Sulaiman raced to victory in the Gulf Energy World Junior Endurance Championship yesterday at the Endurance Village in Sakhir. Fahad, who just turned 14, steered seven-year-old horse Lormar Lorrien to victory (05.38.07) in this prestigious 120-km event which was divided into five stage

The 14-year-old rider told Bahrain Tribune that it was not an easy victory: “First of all, the victory would not have been possible without the great help and directives of HM the King [and], Shaikh Nasser,” said Fahad.
The second Bahraini to complete the race was (Ms.) Najla bint Salman (6:04:25) who finished sixth on Bedouin de Piboul, beating the rest of the 140 riders from 30 countries.
Breef's president and Bahrain team captain Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa (6:22:42) finished 17th on Jassem while Breef first vice-president Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa pulled out of the race in the second stage following an injury to his horse Markuska El Aziz.
