PhD scholarshipInternational Development Studies
The Graduate School within the Department of Society and Globalisation,Roskilde University, hereby announces a PhD scholarship in International Development Studies. The scholarship will be available from January, 2009 orsoon after. Funds for fieldwork are not available in this grant, and the successfulapplicant must envisage some additional fundraising for this purpose.
The scholarship covers a period of three years. The successful applicant will be asked to contribute 500 hours of work to the Department (teaching atone of the Department¹s Master¹s programmes and dissemination of research toa broad audience etc.).
The application must be in English and include a CV, documentation (copies)of examinations passed and a project description of maximum 5 pages. The description should include an outline of the problem area to be studied, theresearch questions raised, the theoretical approach taken and methodological considerations as well as work and time plan.
The project description andother material should be forwarded in three copies. The successful applicant will be enrolled in the Researcher TrainingProgramme of the International Development Studies.
